This is an important day that should be reconginzed. Self injury is not a joke. Yes beleive it or not, despite that I can talk about my experiences pretty lightly and openly, deep down I am very ashamed. It doesnt help trust me i nthe end. Ive been self harming for maybe 2 and a half years now, and only a couple of months ago the self harm I did became life threatening. Nowadays I often do it for absoutely no reason or as a rehearsal for suicide. All it did in the end was earn me a trip to the mental institution. My family doesnt trust me and a few friends told me to go away because I am "unstable". I have frequent wishes to cut myself, overdose, or cut my hair, which I hate myself for, and yet my case of emotional problems is not as bad as others. In the hosptial, ive met people who are much more tore apart from their self harm than me and they cant stop either. If you or someone you care about wants to hurt themselves because they are in so much pain, please, help them or yourself...before its too late...because its not good for you and ..you dont want to end up with the same consequences I did....where its too late for me to stop
